MY STORY
Hello lovely friends! It's a funny little story how I came to create Threadful. Growing up I'm not sure how I ever learned to cross-stitch, but I just remember I would pick a piece up and then put it down, enjoying the simplicity of making little x's and forming a picture! Then Christmas of 2022, after a long stint of not picking up needle and thread, I decided to make something for my Momma. However, the patterns that came were not cross-stitch, but embroidery, something I had never even attempted. Rather than sending them back, I took up the challenge to try a new style of needlework. More vague and artful, embroidery became a therapeutic delight. I couldn't stop, and soon I had a stack of pieces waiting to find their homes. So my desire to keep stitching, the deep joy I find in sharing my work, and the encouragement from my incredible husband and so many sweet people, Threadful went from a thought to a stitch, and slowly I'm creating the whole picture that will be.
MEET THE DESIGNER
Hi, I'm Kaylee - the designer and creator behind Threadful Needlework! I'm home-grown in Mississippi, with Kentucky roots. I've been married to my sweet husband, Ben, for 9 years. One of the best decisions we've made was moving to Greenville, South Carolina in 2019. With the South being my home, the weather and people feel the same, but I get the extra gift of having mountains and waterfalls right up the road. Though I'm relatively new to the specific craft of embroidery, needlework has been a part of my life ever since I can remember, and I love nothing more than settling into stitching a piece while sitting with my precious dog, Gypsy! Most exciting of all we are getting ready to welcome our first child, little Levi, in January 2024! I'm looking forward to all the life coming our way!
